Used Car Manager About the Role We are seeking an energetic, analytical, and results-driven Used Car Manager to lead our pre-owned sales operations in the Upstate region. In this key leadership role, you will oversee inventory acquisition, competitive pricing strategies, reconditioning pipelines, and team performance. Your objective will be to maximize inventory turn, boost gross profitability, and deliver a seamless experience for every customer. Key Responsibilities Inventory Acquisition & Sourcing:
Source quality pre-owned vehicles through auctions, off-lease vehicles, customer trade-ins, and direct-purchase campaigns.
Market Pricing & Velocity Management:
Leverage inventory analytics tools (e.g., vAuto) to set competitive prices, manage market days supply, and maintain an aggressive turn rate.
Reconditioning Workflow:
Partner directly with the service department to streamline reconditioning times, keeping vehicle turnaround under target day limits to get inventory frontline-ready fast.
Appraisals & Deal Structuring:
Conduct accurate, real-time trade-in appraisals and collaborate with sales consultants and F&I managers to structure profitable deals.
Team Leadership & Coaching:
Train, mentor, and motivate sales representatives to achieve pre-owned volume targets while maintaining high customer satisfaction standards. Qualifications 3+ years of experience as a Used Car Manager or Assistant Used Car Manager in a high-volume dealership setting. Deep experience with digital inventory management platforms (vAuto, Provision, or similar CRM/inventory systems). Strong understanding of local pre-owned market trends, wholesale auctions, and valuation guides (KBB, NADA, Black Book). Proven track record of hitting monthly volume and gross profit objectives. $84,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
