Job Description
Job Overview JCB of Chattanooga is seeking a highly organized and experienced Parts Manager to oversee the procurement, inventory management, and distribution of parts and accessories to customers. The ideal candidate will possess excellent negotiation skills, mechanical knowledge, and proficiency with various inventory management systems to support efficient parts administration and logistics operations. Responsibilities Manage the procurement process for parts, accessories, and OEM components, including sourcing and negotiating with suppliers. Oversee inventory management systems to ensure accurate tracking of parts stock levels, order management, and demand planning. Coordinate with warehouse staff to facilitate shipping & receiving, storage, and equipment repair activities. Utilize Aspen inventory control tools to maintain precise parts records and facilitate data entry. Implement effective parts sourcing strategies to optimize pricing and availability while minimizing costs. Supervise parts administration tasks including order processing, pricing updates, and catalog maintenance. Collaborate with internal teams on logistics planning, vehicle systems diagnostics, auto body repair needs, and customer service inquiries. Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of quality parts. Lead efforts to keep show room and parts room clean and organized. Ensure compliance with safety standards related to warehouse operations and equipment repair activities. Maintain documentation related to inventory control, sourcing activities, and internal communication channels. Parts Manager will do quarterly parts returns to JCB and return wrong parts in a timely manner. Skills Experience in supply chain management within manufacturing industries. Proven supplier management experience with strong negotiation skills. Mechanical knowledge related to automotive parts, vehicle systems, auto body repair, and equipment repair. Proficiency with inventory management systems Aspen and other order management software. Familiarity with warehouse operations including shipping & receiving procedures and forklift operation. Strong understanding of procurement processes including sourcing, purchasing, demand planning, and pricing strategies. Experience with parts look up and OEM parts sourcing is highly desirable. Competence in using Microsoft Office applications for data entry, reporting, and internal communication purposes. Knowledge of logistics inventory management techniques for efficient parts distribution. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and parts administration tasks. Ability to work collaboratively across teams in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high customer service standards.
