Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Shipping Manager at Addison Auction House, where your leadership and organizational skills will drive the seamless movement of valuable assets. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all shipping operations, ensuring timely, accurate, and secure handling of consignments and purchases. Your expertise will help us deliver exceptional service to our clients while maintaining efficiency and compliance across all shipping activities. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of our auction house's logistics excellence. Responsibilities Coordinate and supervise all aspects of shipping operations, including packing, labeling, and processing packages efficiently. Oversee inventory management related to shipped items, ensuring proper documentation and tracking throughout the process. Develop and implement shipping procedures that optimize efficiency while maintaining compliance with legal and safety standards. Monitor shipment schedules daily to meet deadlines and resolve any issues promptly to prevent delays or damages. Maintain detailed records of all shipments for reporting, auditing, and customer service purposes. Skills Must have experience in shipping fragile packages to include placing items in boxes and ensuring that they are packaged properly to ensure a safe delivery. Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail Knowledge of shipping regulations, customs procedures (if applicable), and safety standards for USPS and UPS. Exceptional communication skills for coordinating with buyers via phone and email. Ability to multi task and efficiently stay on top of shipping demands and email communications.
