Position Summary The Director of Supply Chain heads the Supply Chain department and is responsible for the strategic and tactical execution of all Supply Chain activities. Supply Chain includes Purchasing, Receiving, Warehouse, Shipping, Logistics, Inventory Control, and Scheduling. The Director is responsible for development of KPIs that drive performance and evaluation based on those metrics. The position ensures the alignment of department execution that support the company goals and strategic initiatives. As head of the department, the position sets the standard for their team to create a culture of safety and quality. The position creates or approves processes that improve consistency and drive training and development of the team. The Director develops and manages the budget for their teams and provides the framework for ensuring a robust supply chain. Responsibilities and Essential Duties Ensure a robust supply chain that can support the needs of the manufacturing plant and customers. Support safety initiatives, drive OSHA compliance and train on preventive actions. Create and establish budgets that drive effective and efficient spending. Build a robust culture of compliance and quality including Supplier Audits, data logging, validation, internal audits, and process improvement. Work effectively across the organization to ensure successful execution of Supply Chain functions. Warehouse
- Capacity management, evaluate manning and inventory levels, minimize process flow bottlenecks, and support the needs of Operations. Logistics
- Ensure the arrival and delivery of products in a cost-efficient manner. Purchasing
- Drive cost efficiency, supplier continuity, and risk mitigation. Inventory Control
- Ensure accuracy of inventory levels and cost evaluation. Minimize expired and obsolete component through active management. Scheduling
- Align production capacity, customer requirements, and inventory availability.
