About the RoleThe Materials Manager is responsible for purchasing, inventory management, receiving, storage, distribution of supplies and medical equipment.
POSITIONS ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Directs and coordinates material management functions. Manages purchasing, inventory management, receiving, storage, and distribution of supplies and equipment. Maintain materials accountability systems to support hospital. Accountable for all medical supply/services spend and resultant financial results with respect to budget/forecasting/targets. Accountable for direct reports and their productivity. Accountable for building and maintaining relationships with peer department heads and administrative leadership teams. Represents Supply Chain in various committees and meetings. Directs product conversion efforts. Accountable for meeting Supply Chain measures of success related to spend/inventory/HR/customer satisfaction. Responsible for continuous improvement of material flow, utilization analysis and supply chain optimization. Charged to continually develop hospital identified savings prospects and exploit known opportunities. Set clear goals and expectations; provide regular coaching, feedback, and performance reviews.

Develop talent through mentoring, training, and career development initiatives.

Promote a collaborative and engaging work environment that aligns with company values.

Manage conflict and make timely decisions to maintain team focus and performance.

Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and development conversations.

Approve timecards, schedules, time-off requests, and other administrative HR functions.

Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and safety regulations.

Other related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Associate Degree Business Administration or related area or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired is necessary. Bachelors Degree Business Administration preferred. A minimum five years experience in a Materials Management supervisory capacity. Why Join Legent Health?
