Regular travel throughout West Texas and New Mexico About MVVI Mountain View Vocational Institute (MVVI) is a growing vocational training school with campuses in El Paso, TX, and Alamogordo, NM. We train students for high-demand careers including CDL/truck driving, heavy equipment operation, and mobile crane operation. Our training programs operate at correctional and re-entry facilities, employer locations, partner sites, and community events across the region. Because our equipment moves wherever our training happens, we're looking for someone who can keep it moving. About the Role We're looking for a Field Logistics Manager to own the movement of our training fleet — trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment — across Texas and New Mexico. When a CDL class starts Monday morning at a correctional facility, or an HEO cohort kicks off at a remote site, you're the reason the equipment is there, on time, serviced, and ready to train on. This is a road role. You'll be behind the wheel moving equipment yourself, coordinating deliveries, and solving problems on-site — not managing from a desk. What You'll Do Plan and execute delivery of trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment to training sites across TX and NM, including our prison/re-entry program locations, local events, and partner sites Personally drive and transport CDL rigs and haul equipment as needed (this is a hands-on driving role) Build and manage the equipment movement calendar around class schedules, cohort start dates, and events — and communicate proactively when anything is at risk Partner with our Fleet Manager on preventive maintenance schedules, repairs, DOT inspections, and vehicle readiness Coordinate with local equipment rental companies to source, schedule, pick up, and return rented heavy equipment; verify condition on receipt and return Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; flag and escalate equipment issues before they become class disruptions Maintain accurate records of equipment location, condition, mileage, and service status using our systems Serve as the on-site point of contact for equipment logistics at training locations and events Support compliance with

DOT/FMCSA

requirements for our training vehicles

What We're Looking For Required:

Valid Class A CDL Current DOT medical card Clean driving record Experience hauling trailers and/or heavy equipment (lowboy/flatbed experience a plus) Willingness to travel regularly throughout West Texas and New Mexico, with occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekend moves around class schedules Comfortable with technology: smartphone apps, scheduling tools, GPS/telematics, email, and shared calendars — you'll live in these Highly responsive and engaged — you answer the phone, you close the loop, you don't let things fall through the cracks Ability to pass background checks required for access to correctional facilities - no charges and convictions in the last 5 years. Strong organization and communication skills; able to work independently on the road Preferred Qualifications Experience in fleet operations, construction logistics, equipment rental, or heavy haul Heavy equipment operating experience (able to load/unload and position equipment) Bilingual English/Spanish Familiarity with the El Paso / southern New Mexico region Compensation & Benefits $25/hour Full-time contractor position (1099) Approximately 40 hours per week Company vehicle and fuel provided for business-related travel Important Employment Requirements Employment is contingent upon successfully completing a DOT drug screen and background check, including any clearances required for access to correctional facilities.
