Job Description

The Inventory Control Supervisor oversees the inventory control team/function and maintains a high level of inventory accuracy and integrity within the warehouse. This role maximizes space utilization while monitoring and verifying materials available for current projects. The Inventory Control Supervisor ensures a conforming product mix, facilitates efficient order fulfillment, and contributes to a safe and orderly working environment.
  • Monitors and controls inventory integrity.
  • Maintains product identification and location program.
  • Research inventory discrepancies and makes necessary corrections.
  • Manages the inventory control function at the site.
  • Oversees physical inventories/cycle counts/random or receipt audits/reconciliations.
  • Resolves inventory problems in a timely manner.
  • Documents and controls aged & damaged products.
  • Assists in inventory accuracy through monitoring of daily warehouse activities and monthly inventory counts.
  • Initiates action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to product, process, and quality systems.
  • Identifies and records any issues relating to product, processes and/or quality.
  • Initiates, recommends, or provides solutions through appropriate channels.
  • Verifies the implementation of solutions.
  • Supervises staff and conducts team meetings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • A high School degree or GED required.
  • Must be able to pass the forklift certification test and drive a forklift on a daily basis.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, or be mobile for up to an eight-hour shift; ascend and descend from a forklift; lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs; bend, twist and reach to check freight, stack boxes, and label. Manufacturing/Distribution industry experience required.
  • Candidates should have good communication skills, written and oral.
