Logistics Supervisor Position Summary The Logistics Lead is responsible for coordinating transportation operations across CheckSammy's ZPF network. Based in Mesquite, this role supports all facilities by scheduling freight, tracking shipments, communicating with customers, vendors and carriers, resolving service issues, and helping standardize logistics processes across the network. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and demonstrates strong organization, communication, and leadership. Key Responsibilities Schedule inbound and outbound freight across all ZPF facilities. Perform daily track-and-trace on active shipments. Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and carriers. Coordinate appointments and recover service failures. Support redirected loads and ensure SLA compliance. Maintain accurate records in WMS/TMS systems. Generate reports and monitor logistics KPIs. Support continuous improvement initiatives across the network. Leadership Expectations Serve as the first point of escalation when the Logistics Supervisor is unavailable. Coach, mentor, and train Shipping/Receiving Clerks. Assist with onboarding and training new logistics team members. Promote standardized logistics processes across all ZPF facilities. Lead logistics huddles when needed. Drive accountability for service levels, communication, and customer satisfaction. Partner with Operations leadership to resolve transportation issues. Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend scalable solutions. Model CheckSammy's values through professionalism, teamwork, and ownership.
Requirements:
Required Qualifications 3-4 years of logistics, transportation scheduling, dispatch, or supply chain experience. Experience scheduling freight and performing track-and-trace. Experience communicating with customers, vendors, and transportation providers. Experience working in a fast-paced environment. Startup or high-growth company experience preferred. Strong multitasking, organization, and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Team player with a positive attitude and high attention to detail. Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with WMS/TMS (ZeroPoint preferred). Success In This Role Maintain exceptional customer and carrier relationships. Ensure shipments move with minimal service failures. Communicate proactively before issues impact customers. Support every ZPF location with urgency and accuracy. Continuously improve logistics performance and standardization. Physical Requirements Ability to work in both office and warehouse environments. Sit, stand, and walk for extended periods. Lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
