The Supply Chain Portfolio Manager plays a critical role in driving this transformation by governing and advancing the enterprise supply chain productivity portfolio to deliver measurable improvements in cost efficiency, operational performance, and process standardization. This role partners closely with supply chain leaders, Finance, and cross‑functional teams to ensure initiatives are clearly defined, prioritized, and executed to achieve targeted business outcomes.Position Overview:
The Supply Chain Portfolio Manager is responsible for end‑to‑end management of the supply chain productivity and improvement portfolio. This includes initiative intake, prioritization, governance, execution tracking, and performance reporting. The role ensures strong alignment to strategic supply chain priorities, cost reduction goals, and operational performance objectives across distribution, transportation, inventory management, and planning functions.Key Responsibilities:
Portfolio Management & Governance Manage the full lifecycle of the supply chain productivity portfolio, including initiative intake, prioritization, governance, and execution tracking Ensure all initiatives align with supply chain strategy, cost reduction targets, and operational performance goals Establish and maintain portfolio governance standards, tracking mechanisms, and performance metrics Cost Reduction & Performance Improvement Drive initiatives focused on cost reduction, operational efficiency, and process standardization across key supply chain functions Partner with initiative owners to define scope, milestones, and success criteria to ensure accountability and results Monitor initiative progress to confirm delivery of measurable business value and achievement of defined savings targets Financial Partnership & Value Realization Collaborate with Finance and initiative owners to develop robust business cases and quantify expected financial benefits Validate realized savings and ensure alignment with financial reporting and tracking standards Maintain disciplined tracking of forecasted vs. realized value across the portfolio Reporting & Executive Communication Maintain monthly portfolio performance tracking, including project status, milestone progress, risks, and realized savings Prepare and deliver concise, data‑driven monthly updates to senior leadership highlighting progress, savings realization, and key decisions or risks Provide insights that enable informed prioritization and resource allocation decisions Cross‑Functional Collaboration Work closely with stakeholders across supply chain operations, logistics, planning, IT, and Finance to ensure alignment and accountability Facilitate monthly portfolio review meetings to track progress, resolve barriers, and maintain momentum across initiatives Promote transparency, discipline, and clarity across all portfolio activities Bachelor's degree required; equivalent combination of education and experience considered Experience in supply chain operations, continuous improvement, portfolio management, or program management Strong financial acumen with experience building business cases and tracking cost savings Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently and drive execution discipline Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and influence leaders and cross‑functional teamsSimilar jobs in Richardson, TX
