Job Description

USPI Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Woodlands Parkway is seeking a motivated Materials Tech to join our team . We have 4 OR rooms and 1 treatment room. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in Orthopedics, Neurology, ENT, Pain Management, Podiatry, Plastic Surgery. Position requires weekdays only - no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day.
Job Summary:
The Materials Technician is responsible for the procurement of all supplies. The responsibility of the position includes ordering and receiving of supplies, stocking supplies and assisting Accounts Payable with invoice packets. We are looking for a highly motivated, energetic person.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare appropriate documentation for product returns to vendors Transfers products between departments Receives purchases orders Receives products into Materials Management Information System Stocks storeroom and readies stock for distribution Verifies and documents all deliveries of supplies, equipment and various goods to the hospital Maintains log of departments receiving goods Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent required Two years minimum receiving and inventory experience; in a health care environment preferred. Strong Customer Service Background Strong math and counting skills required Type minimum of 40 wpm preferred Computer experience required (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word and Excel preferred) Must possess the ability to prioritize responsibilities and handle multiple projects simultaneously Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted Who We Are At USPI, we create relationships that create better care.
