Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Logistics and Planning Supervisor to lead our supply chain operations and ensure seamless coordination across manufacturing, logistics, and inventory management. In this pivotal role, you will oversee demand planning, production scheduling, and logistics activities to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Your leadership will drive cross-functional collaboration, software implementation projects, and the integration of enterprise solutions to elevate our supply chain performance. Duties Lead the development and execution of demand planning, production planning, and supply chain strategies utilizing SAP to forecast needs accurately. Oversee logistics inventory management, warehouse operations, and transportation coordination to ensure timely delivery and optimal stock levels. Drive continuous improvement initiatives by applying lean manufacturing principles and analyzing data with Excel, SQL, and other analytical tools to identify efficiencies. Manage the implementation of enterprise solutions such as SAP ERP or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ensuring smooth software deployment and user adoption. Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, manufacturing, procurement teams, and plant management to align supply chain activities with production schedules. Supervise a team of planners and logistics staff; provide coaching, training, and leadership to foster a high-performance culture. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to MRP (Material Requirements Planning), operations management, and logistics efficiency to drive accountability. Requirements Proven experience in supply chain management with a focus on demand planning, production scheduling, and logistics operations within a manufacturing environment. Strong proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP (including SAP ERP), Oracle EBS, or similar enterprise solutions; experience with SAP modules like MRP is highly desirable. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies to optimize workflows. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting. Skilled in data analysis using Excel, SQL or other analytical tools to inform decision-making processes. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), procurement processes, and logistics inventory management best practices. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with diverse teams across supply chain functions; experience with software implementation projects is a plus.
