The company has a long history of success in the industrial and electrical products market and operates multiple manufacturing facilities across the United States. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on supply chain professional who enjoys working in a manufacturing environment and wants to have a meaningful impact on purchasing, planning, inventory, supplier performance, and overall operational efficiency. Position Overview The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for managing and optimizing the flow of materials from suppliers through the manufacturing process while ensuring the organization maintains appropriate inventory levels, meets production requirements, and achieves cost and service objectives. This individual will work closely with Operations, Purchasing, Production, Sales, and other functional teams to improve supply chain performance and support the company's continued growth. Key Responsibilities Lead day-to-day supply chain activities supporting a manufacturing operation. Develop and execute material planning and purchasing strategies to support production requirements. Manage inventory levels while balancing customer service, working capital, and production needs. Monitor supplier performance, including quality, delivery, lead times, and cost. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers. Identify opportunities to reduce material costs, improve lead times, and increase supply chain efficiency. Partner with Operations and Production to ensure appropriate availability of raw materials and components. Analyze demand, inventory, purchasing, and production data to identify trends and potential supply risks. Establish and maintain appropriate inventory policies, reorder points, and safety-stock levels. Identify and mitigate supply chain disruptions and material shortages. Lead continuous-improvement initiatives within purchasing, planning, inventory management, and logistics. Develop and monitor supply chain KPIs and provide regular reporting to leadership. Work cross-functionally to improve forecasting, production planning, and overall operational performance. Support strategic sourcing and supplier-development initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related field preferred. 5+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, purchasing, materials management, or operations within a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of procurement, inventory management, production planning, and supplier management. Experience working with ERP/MRP systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyze data and translate findings into practical business decisions. Strong negotiation and vendor-management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with both leadership and manufacturing/operations personnel. Demonstrated ability to identify problems, implement improvements, and drive measurable results. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a hands-on, commercially minded supply chain professional who is comfortable operating in a manufacturing environment. You should be someone who can move between strategic planning and day-to-day problem solving, build strong supplier relationships, and work collaboratively with operations to keep production running efficiently. Experience in industrial manufacturing, electrical products, metal products, engineered products, or other complex manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
