Job Description
Job Summary:
The Buyer is responsible for all minor and capital equipment purchases as well as non-stock medical/surgical supply purchases for the Storeroom, Central Service and Housekeeping. Including service, maintenance and rental agreements, as applicable. Coordinates and assists the departmental receiving, shipping, distribution, inventory control and issuance of patient and departmental supplies.Education and Training:
High school diploma or GED, required. Associates Degree or better in related field, preferred. Courses in Materials Management, merchandising, accounting, marketing.Experience:
Previous healthcare materials management experience preferred.Skills and Abilities:
Excellent communication skills. Proficiency with computer programs and data entry.Benefits Overview:
