Full Job Description Summary:
The Purchasing/Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory control within the dispensary, ensuring compliance with Washington State regulations while maintaining accurate, efficient, and well-organized product flow. This role supports sales performance by ensuring product availability, managing vendor relationships, and maintaining strong internal systems that minimize loss and operational disruption.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate inventory counts across all product categories (flower, concentrates, edibles, drinks, capsules, topicals, accessories) Conduct and reconcile weekly cycle counts and full inventory audits Ensure full compliance with Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board (LCB) regulations, including traceability. Receive, verify, and intake all incoming deliveries, ensuring accuracy against invoices, manifests and Certificates of Analysis. Manage product organization, storage, and backstock to support efficient sales floor restocking Monitor inventory levels and coordinate restock orders with vendors. Track discrepancies, variances, potential shrinkage and report with Management Coordinate returns, destructions, and vendor issues in compliance with state guidelines Maintain accurate pricing and product information in POS systems Support implementation of promotions, vendor drops, and daily deals Collaborate with leadership on product performance, sell-through rates, and inventory strategy Divide and distribute samples to staff and maintain feedback to provide to potential and current vendors Communicate and collaborate with Vendors to maintain a profitable margin while growing sales volume Investigate new possible vendors to bring into the store to improve customer interest and product selection Support the sales floor and assist customers when needed Attend industry events as a Nimbin representative when needed
Operational Expectations:
Uphold internal policies around inventory handling, security, and restricted access Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant inventory/storage area at all times Support operational flow by aligning inventory practices with sales goals and store performance targets Communicate proactively with management regarding inventory challenges or process improvements
Qualifications:
1-3 years of inventory management experience (cannabis retail preferred) Working knowledge of Washington State cannabis compliance and traceability systems (CCRS or similar) Strong attention to detail and high level of accountability Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Comfortable working with spreadsheets, POS systems, and inventory software Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Pay:
