Position The Materials Manager oversees inventory control and warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, storage, and coordination with purchasing to ensure materials and products are delivered on time. Responsible for inventory accuracy, cost control (including freight), performance metrics, and maintaining systems and procedures such as cycle counts, write-offs, and year-end physical inventory. Responsibilities Directs production and inventory control, shipping and receiving, and materials storage Manages warehouse, shipping and receiving departments and processes Responsible for freight costs and minimized premium freight Responsible for metrics reporting, attainment (on time delivery, cycle count accuracy, inventory turnover) Responsible for Inventory Accuracy and the Cycle Count Program and Projects Directs production planning and scheduling based on sales forecasts Maintains inventory levels to ensure deliveries occur within customer timelines Maintains and ensures the accuracy of the perpetual inventory system Works with the purchasing department to schedule delivery of materials, supplies, and equipment Oversees shipping and receiving functions related to purchased parts and finished goods Identifies opportunities to reduce transportation costs and charges Manages and monitors storage of purchased parts and finished goods Performs write-offs on damaged or obsolete inventory to reflect the accurate value of inventory Establishes procedures and is responsible for conducting and valuing year-end physical inventory Performs other related duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field required Five years of experience in materials control field required 3+ years of supervisory experience required Benefits 401K with Company Match Health, Vision & Dental Insurance Life & Disability Insurance Flexible Spending Account Paid Time Off (PTO) Program Paid Holidays Reimbursement for Select Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) management best practices. Pay:
$64,352.90 - $95,000.00 per year
