Job Description

Our client in an international automotive supplier is seeking a Materials Manager with a strong background in the automotive industry. This position is based in West Virginia, offering a low cost of living and access to beautiful country living (mountains, lakes!) Materials Manager Drive Innovation. Lead Transformation. Deliver Excellence. Are you a strategic, hands-on leader who excels in overseeing all aspects of materials flow and ensuring accuracy and control of inventories, transactions, procurement, planning, scheduling, receiving, and shipping to meet customer requirements on time? Responsibilities Oversee and lead the operations, activities, and personnel involved in Material Planning, Production Scheduling, Receiving, Shipping, Materials Handling, and Inventory Control. Develop, implement, and manage policies and procedures for effective material logistics execution. Maintain inventory accuracy through precise cycle counts, control systems, and corrective measures. Ensure timely and accurate vendor releases. Enhance in-plant material handling and storage systems. Establish and enforce TS-ISO procedures for the Materials department. Implement and uphold the use of SAP system. Adhere to OSHA, Safety, and PPE requirements. Supervise production scheduling by monitoring material inventories, tracking production progress, and assessing schedule-affecting factors. ________________________________________ Qualifications We are seeking a dynamic professional with extensive experience in logistics management and a passion for driving transformation. Educational Background & Experience o Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience). o Previous experience in material control and production scheduling within the automotive industry. o Direct leadership experience in material control teams. o Proficiency in SAP software.
o Preferred certification:
APICS CPIM.
