In this energetic and fast-paced position, you will support the management of our vehicle fleet, coordinate logistics, and ensure seamless delivery processes. Your proactive approach will help streamline transportation planning, enhance efficiency, and uphold safety standards across all fleet activities. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in fleet management while contributing to the success of a forward-thinking organization committed to excellence. Responsibilities Assist in overseeing daily fleet operations, including vehicle scheduling, dispatching, and routing to maximize efficiency and reduce costs Support the implementation and maintenance of transportation management systems (TMS) and GPS tracking tools to monitor vehicle locations and optimize routes Enter data accurately into various platforms such as AS400, Transportation Management systems, and other supply chain software to ensure real-time visibility Communicate effectively with drivers, vendors, and internal teams via multi-line phone systems while maintaining professional phone etiquette and clear communication skills Assist in analyzing transportation data to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings through analysis skills and transportation planning expertise Support compliance with safety regulations, fleet maintenance schedules, and 3PL (third-party logistics) providers to uphold high standards of safety and service quality Skills Proficiency with GIS (Geographic Information Systems), GPS technology, and transportation management systems (TMS) for route optimization and tracking helpful. Effective dispatching abilities coupled with experience managing multi-line phone systems and providing exceptional phone etiquette Skilled in data entry using platforms like Oracle Transportation Management, SyteLine, AS400, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Knowledge of transportation management best practices within 3PL environments and shipping & receiving operations Strong communication skills for collaborating across departments, vendors, drivers, and external partners while maintaining professionalism This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to grow their expertise in fleet management within a collaborative environment.
