Job Description:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Drivers Dispatcher to join our fast-paced transportation operations team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in coordinating daily transportation activities, optimizing driver schedules, ensuring timely pickups and deliveries, and maintaining exceptional service standards for both drivers and customers.Responsibilities:
Planning and arranging pickups and deliveries while maximizing route efficiency and company profitability Scheduling and dispatching drivers, equipment, and loads based on operational demands and customer requirements Monitoring load progress and proactively resolving service disruptions, delays, and delivery issues Communicating directly with drivers to provide route instructions, updates, and operational support Coordinating inbound and outbound load bookings Arranging shipments according to customer requirements and service expectations Communicating with customers regarding freight status, delivery schedules, pickup times, and special handling instructions Managing a high volume of incoming calls, emails, and operational communications Resolving customer service concerns in real time and ensuring prompt issue resolution Maintaining accurate dispatch records, route updates, shipment activity, and driver communication logs Utilizing GPS tracking systems, dispatch software, and transportation management systems to monitor fleet movement Coordinating schedule changes and responding quickly to operational adjustments Ensuring compliance with company policies, transportation regulations, and legal requirements Exercising sound professional judgment and decision-making in time-sensitive situations Collaborating with internal departments to support efficient transportation operations Strictly following company policies, procedures, and communication guidelines Performing other duties as assigned by managementRequirements:
At least 1 year of dispatch experience or similar role Strong knowledge of Western Seaboard / U.S. transportation lanes Experience working with GPS Tracking software. Solid understanding of transportation industry operations and dispatch procedures Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a high-volume, fast-paced environment Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities Excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills Strong verbal and written communication skills High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and transportation management systems By applying to this position you are confirming you possess either a US citizenship, Green Card status or work permit.
