MOT - Traffic Control Supervisor

Halifax Paving, family owned and operated since 1955, has a proven track record of providing high quality asphalt and site work services in the Eastern/Northern Central Florida areas. We have an immediate opening for an Experienced Traffic Control (MOT) person to join our team. The primary function of the MOT Employee is to implement proper control of traffic for safe movement and protection of road crew and the public at the direction of the project manager. The position requires an advanced MOT certificate approved by the FDOT. The position consists of but is not limited to the following duties: Ensuring proper protocol and traffic requirements are followed for safe movement and protection of road crew and the public Place temporary construction signs in work area. Place arrow board or variable message board trailers in work area. Place traffic cones and other traffic safety devices in work area. Check work zone throughout shift to be sure items are still in their proper location. Pick up traffic control items at beginning and end of shift and load into the truck. Maintenance of all MOT equipment and tools. The above listed duties require periods of standing, walking, stooping pushing, pulling, and bending. Position requires periodic lifting up to 50 pounds. Requirements:

At least 2 years MOT experience with Advanced MOT Certificate Valid Florida Driver's License Clean MVR Must pass a pre-employment drug screen Must be willing to work in all weather conditions Must be willing to work nights and weekends Must be willing to strictly adhere to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook. Have the willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
