Job Description

Fleet Manager Position Summary The Fleet Manager is at the center of daily operations, working closely with professional drivers to ensure safe, successful shipment execution while supporting driver satisfaction and retention. This role requires strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Coordinate with drivers to ensure customer commitments and shipment expectations are met. Support driver needs, schedules, home-time, and time-off requests. Monitor driver performance, safety, and DOT compliance. Maintain accurate driver availability for effective fleet planning. Address driver concerns and handle performance or disciplinary matters. Partner with Maintenance to keep equipment properly serviced and operational. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Basic computer skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to organize, prioritize, and work independently. Ability to manage multiple tasks and resolve issues in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal and customer-service skills. Basic knowledge of transportation equipment, terminology, U.S. geography, and map reading. Knowledge of DOT regulations preferred. No trucking experience required—we will train. Related experience is a plus. Schedule & Work Environment Full-time, Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-5:00 PM. Approximately 10 hours of overtime per week. Professional office environment with business-casual dress. No travel required.
