Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Quarry Scale House Operator is responsible for weighing incoming and outgoing trucks, maintaining accurate records of materials, processing tickets and invoices, and providing excellent customer service to drivers, customers, and quarry personnel. This position serves as the primary point of contact for truck traffic entering and leaving the quarry.
Key Responsibilities:
Weigh trucks entering and exiting the quarry using computerized scale systems. Generate and process load tickets, delivery receipts, and invoices. Verify material types, quantities, and customer information. Maintain accurate records of all transactions and shipments. Communicate with dispatchers, drivers, customers, and quarry personnel regarding orders and deliveries. Answer phones, emails, and customer inquiries. Monitor truck traffic to ensure safe and efficient movement throughout the quarry. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production and sales reports. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements. Perform general office and administrative duties, including filing and data entry.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Strong computer and data entry skills. Excellent communication and organizational abilities. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping.
