Fleet Manager

Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Fleet Manager to oversee the daily operations, maintenance, compliance, and performance of our commercial vehicle fleet. The ideal candidate will ensure vehicles are operating safely, efficiently, and in compliance with DOT and company standards while supporting drivers and coordinating with multiple departments. Responsibilities Manage and oversee daily fleet operations for company vehicles and drivers Monitor vehicle maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs and preventive maintenance Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and company safety regulations Track fleet performance, utilization, downtime, and operational costs Supervise fleet staff, drivers, and vendors Maintain accurate records of inspections, registrations, permits, and insurance Coordinate roadside assistance and emergency repairs when needed Work closely with Safety, Dispatch, Maintenance, and HR departments Analyze reports and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs Monitor fuel usage, mileage, and equipment condition Implement fleet policies and procedures Requirements Minimum 2-5 years of experience in fleet management, transportation, or logistics Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and fleet compliance requirements Experience managing commercial vehicles (preferred: trucking industry) Excellent organizational and leadership skills Ability to multitask and solve problems under pressure Strong communication and computer skills Experience with fleet management or TMS systems is a plus Valid driver's license required
