JOB DESCRIPTION - ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR DELIVERY TRUCK DRIVER
Pro Electric is an electrical contractor specializing in design, engineering, and installation services. Our Kansas City based company is proud to have served the Kansas and Missouri area since 1976. We are seeking a full time, detailed oriented and self-motivated individual to join our team. This entry level position provides the opportunity for advancement. This position is represented by the IBEW, Local 124 Electrical Union and is subject to the current agreement and union benefits provided.
JOB TYPE
  • Full-time Kansas City, Kansas Based
  • Monday - Friday 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Overtime and Weekends as required
REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum age of 21 to meet federal regulations to drive a commercial vehicle across state lines
  • Valid driver license / acceptable driving record
  • Class E drivers license if Missouri resident
  • Class C drivers license if Kansas resident
  • DOT Physical
  • Must successfully complete a pre-hire drug test
  • Experience with forklifts
  • Friendly / customer service-oriented personality
  • Good communication skills. Read, write, and speak English
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and move boxes up to 50 pounds
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Knowledge of Kansas City area road system
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Track record of reliability
  • Have a can-do attitude
  • Ability to work with a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Deliver electrical products to correct addresses and jobsites in a timely manner
  • Pick / pack orders
  • Process incoming and outgoing freight (as needed)
  • Stock warehouse shelves (as needed)
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by Warehouse Manager
  • Always interact with customers, field, and office staff professionally
COMPENSATION
  • From $20.00 per hour depending on qualifications and experience
  • Salary increases based on tenure and performance
