This part-time role, totaling 25 hours per week, is vital in ensuring residents and staff are transported reliably and comfortably. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a proactive approach to vehicle maintenance and safety. Duties Coordinate daily transportation schedules for residents, staff, and visitors, ensuring timely pickups and drop-offs. Operate various types of vehicles including shuttle vans, buses, limousines, or other commercial vehicles, adhering strictly to safety regulations. Assist residents with boarding and disembarking, providing compassionate customer service and ensuring comfort during transit. Conduct routine vehicle inspections, perform basic maintenance checks, and report any mechanical issues promptly to maintain safety standards. Handle logistics for special transportation needs such as medical appointments or community outings with attention to detail. Manage communication with residents, families, staff, and external vendors to confirm schedules and address any transportation concerns. Assist with heavy lifting when loading or unloading mobility aids or luggage, ensuring safety for both passengers and staff. Experience Prior experience in shuttle driving, delivery driving, bus driving, or limousine service is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability in commercial driving or paratransit services with a valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type. Experience in customer service roles that require clear communication skills and a friendly demeanor. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance routines and basic troubleshooting skills. Familiarity with heavy lifting procedures related to mobility aids or luggage handling is a plus. Proven ability to follow safety protocols diligently while maintaining excellent service standards.
