This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate a range of commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and forklift-equipped trucks. As a key player in our logistics network, you'll be responsible for transporting goods, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the highest safety standards. Responsibilities Safely operate a variety of commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks to deliver freight to designated locations. Load and unload cargo efficiently using appropriate equipment like forklifts when necessary. Follow planned routes accurately while adapting to route changes or traffic conditions to ensure on-time deliveries. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of your vehicle to identify maintenance needs or safety issues. Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, cargo documentation, and delivery records in compliance with federal and state regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules, route updates, or any issues encountered during transit. Adhere strictly to safety protocols and transportation laws to promote a safe working environment for yourself and others. Qualifications Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on freight delivery; prior delivery driver experience is highly valued. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with endorsements suitable for operating tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, or specialized trucks. Proficiency in driving manual transmission vehicles is preferred. Ability to operate auxiliary equipment such as forklifts or dump trucks when required for loading or unloading cargo. Knowledge of load securing techniques for flatbed or tanker loads to ensure safety during transit. Comfortable with route driving across urban and rural areas while maintaining punctuality. Strong understanding of safety regulations related to commercial driving and freight handling.
