Transportation This is a full-time, twelve-month position classified at Job Level 10, with an hourly wage range of $30.59 to $31.95 . The position includes a comprehensive benefits package, including insurance, vacation, sick leave, and paid holidays. Employees who hold a current ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification will receive an additional $2.05 per hour . The Fleet Manager is responsible for coordinating, monitoring, directing, and assisting with the maintenance and repair of all district vehicles. This position ensures that district vehicles are safe, reliable, and compliant with all applicable regulations for the transportation of students and staff.
Qualifications:
Applicants should: Possess knowledge of state and federal regulations governing school buses and pupil transportation. Hold and maintain a valid Minnesota Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with school bus endorsement. Demonstrate professional business practices related to bidding, quoting, and purchasing. Have knowledge of vehicle recalls, warranties, and related compliance requirements. Possess the ability to supervise, train, and support employees. Have experience and knowledge in the maintenance and repair of school buses and other district vehicles. Demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Be able to maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and operational readiness of the district's transportation fleet.
