$60,000-$70,000, depending on experience Summary The Dedicated Account Leader is responsible for managing customer transportation operations, including driver support, load planning, dispatch, and customer service. This role works closely with drivers, customers, and internal teams to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable transportation services while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. The Dedicated Account Leader coordinates daily operations, optimizes fleet utilization, resolves service issues, and helps drive operational performance. This position plays a key role in supporting account success, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, and contributing to the achievement of operational and financial goals. What does a normal day look like? Lead, coach, and retain a team of drivers while managing performance, training, and ongoing development. Assign and coordinate driver workloads to maximize asset utilization while balancing customer expectations and driver needs. Monitor driver performance metrics, provide regular feedback, and administer corrective action when necessary, up to and including termination. Maintain accurate driver records and support administrative functions, including payroll, documentation, and system updates. Ensure drivers are properly equipped, trained, and prepared for specialized loads, including Hazmat, high-value, and time-sensitive freight. Manage fleet operations, including equipment availability, maintenance schedules, compliance requirements, DOT regulations, and driver hours of service. Communicate customer requirements, monitor service commitments, and proactively resolve issues that could impact delivery performance. Promote safety and compliance by educating drivers on company procedures, regulatory requirements, accidents, claims, theft prevention, and equipment protocols. Build and maintain strong customer relationships, address service concerns, analyze operational data, and provide performance reporting and recommendations. Optimize transportation efficiency by analyzing fleet and network data, managing capacity and routing decisions, coordinating with carriers, and identifying opportunities to improve service and profitability. Perform other duties as assigned. What makes this job right for you? 1-2 years' experience as a Driver Manager or Customer Service Manager in Supply Chain, Transportation and/or Logistics. Knowledge of dedicated transportation operations, FMCSA, and DOT regulations. Ability to establish positive working relationships with customers, stakeholders, and team members. Strong, demonstrated leadership capabilities, includes building effective teams. Outstanding communication skills. Demonstrated problem solving capabilities and timely decision making. Proficient in MS Excel and other MS Office Suite programs. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
