Position Purpose:

The Transportation Manager oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of product shipments from production to the end-user. Here are some of their key responsibilities: planning and supervising shipments, scheduling routes, tracking orders, coordinating, monitoring transportation costs, ensuring compliance, maintaining records. Transportation Managers play a crucial role in the supply chain, ensuring that goods are delivered on time and in good condition.

Major Functional Responsibilities:

Ensure that shipments are handled efficiently, safely, and within budget. Organizing daily and weekly routes for transportation vehicles. Use systems like barcodes and tracking software to monitor shipments. Ensure proper storage and distribution of products. Keeping track of expenses to stay within budget. Make sure all shipments comply with legal regulations. Keep detailed records of all transportation activities. Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all policies and standards

Work Experience:
  • 5 - 7 Years Related experience
  • 6 Months - 1 Year Supervisory or management experience
Required Qualifications:
  • Several years of experience in transportation, logistics, or a related field.
  • Ability to coordinate complex logistics and plan routes effectively.
  • Proficiency in transportation management software and tracking systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication for coordinating with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to quickly address and resolve transportation issues.
  • Understanding of legal regulations and safety requirements.
Preferred qualifications:
Licenses and Certifications :
  • Certified in Logistics, Transportation, and Distribution (CLTD)-APICS
  • Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
