Job Description

Universal Dedicated, Inc., a subsidiary of Universal Logistics Holdings, Inc., is a leading provider of asset-based and asset-light logistics solutions across North America. Our teams leverage industry expertise and advanced technology to deliver customized transportation and supply chain services that drive efficiency, accuracy, and value for our customers. Our operation in Albany, Missouri supports Johnson Controls (JCI) and plays a critical role in the movement, storage, and coordination of air handling units. This position serves as a key link between production, yard operations, customers, and transportation providers to ensure products are loaded, staged, and shipped efficiently. Shift 1st
Shift:
Monday - Friday | 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Additional hours may be required based on customer and operational needs. Responsibilities Coordinate daily loading and unloading activities for air handling units Manage yard organization, storage locations, and material flow throughout the facility Interface directly with Johnson Controls (JCI) and outside carriers regarding shipment scheduling and loading requirements Support forklift and material handling operations in a fast-paced environment Ensure outbound shipments are loaded accurately and on time Track inventory and product movement within the yard and storage areas Monitor operational performance and communicate issues to leadership as needed Assist with scheduling and coordinating equipment, labor, and loading priorities Maintain accurate operational records and shipping documentation Follow all company safety policies and customer requirements Qualifications 1+ years of experience in logistics, yard management, manufacturing, or material handling operations preferred Experience operating forklifts and working in industrial environments Understanding of yard management and inventory control processes Ability to communicate effectively with customers, carriers, and operations teams Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Comfortable working both in the office and on the floor Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Microsoft Office experience required; Excel proficiency preferred
Pay:
$55,800.45 - $67,200.53 per year
