Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Master Certified Diesel Mechanic/Fleet Manager with 5+ years of professional experience , including shop management and fleet management responsibilities . This role requires a dependable, self‑directed professional capable of overseeing a fleet, diagnosing complex issues, and performing advanced repairs with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate is organized, safety‑minded, and able to manage their own priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Key Responsibilities Perform expert‑level diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on diesel engines and related systems Oversee daily shop operations, workflow, and repair project timelines Manage fleet maintenance schedules, inspections, and long‑term equipment health Identify potential mechanical issues before failure and recommend proactive solutions Complete complex repairs including engine, transmission, electrical, hydraulic, and air systems Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts usage, and fleet condition Coordinate with leadership on repair priorities, budget considerations, and operational needs Ensure compliance with safety standards, DOT regulations, and company policies Operate commercial vehicles as needed for testing, transport, or recovery Required Qualifications Master Certified Diesel Mechanic (ASE Master or equivalent) 5+ years professional diesel experience , including shop or project management CDL with Air Brake Endorsement (Passenger Endorsement preferred) Proven ability to work independently without direct supervision Strong diagnostic skills with the ability to solve complex mechanical problems Experience managing fleet maintenance programs and long‑term equipment planning Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing needs Excellent communication skills and attention to detail Strong understanding of safety procedures, DOT requirements, and industry best practices Preferred Skills Passenger endorsement on CDL Experience with mixed fleets (diesel, gas, heavy equipment, specialty vehicles) Familiarity with digital maintenance systems or fleet management software Welding, fabrication, or electrical troubleshooting experience Living within 30 minutes of our shop. Pay:
$40.00 - $50.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per weekExperience:
