High School Diploma or GED RequiredPosition OverviewWe are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Shipping Associate / Material Handler to support shipping operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This individual will be responsible for preparing finished products for shipment, operating material handling equipment, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring customer orders are shipped safely and on schedule.
The ideal candidate has experience working in a warehouse, shipping, manufacturing, or distribution environment and is comfortable operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
Key ResponsibilitiesLoad finished goods onto flatbed trucks using overhead cranes, hoists, and ground support equipment.
Safely operate a forklift to transport materials and finished products throughout the facility and yard.
Package, seal, and tarp products to ensure safe transportation and protection from environmental conditions.
Verify shipment accuracy using pick lists, yard reports, and shipping documentation.
Scan finished goods using RF scanners and tablets to maintain inventory accuracy.
Ensure shipments are completed on time to support customer delivery schedules and minimize carrier detention costs.
Maintain organization and cleanliness of shipping areas in accordance with 5S standards.
Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
Cross-train in multiple shipping functions to provide operational flexibility.
Follow all safety procedures and company policies while handling equipment and materials.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
Required QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GEDMinimum 6 months of experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, shipping, or logistics environmentAbility to obtain or maintain Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV) certificationWillingness to learn or demonstrated experience operating:
