Gilmour's North Shore is a locally owned and operated wholesale food and beverage supplier working with the hospitality and related industries within North & West Auckland and we are committed to delivering exceptional service to our customers every day. We are seeking a highly capable and experienced Transport & Fleet Co-Ordinator to lead our transport function and drive performance across a fast-paced, high-volume operation.

Role:
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing a fleet of 15+ trucks and a team of drivers in a demanding FMCG environment. Operating with early morning starts , you'll ensure our deliveries are executed safely, efficiently, and on time
every time.
You will play a critical role in optimizing routes, improving delivery performance, and maintaining the highest standards of cold chain and food safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, coach, and develop a team of drivers and transport staff Oversee daily transport operations including routing, scheduling, and dispatch Manage a fleet of 15+ vehicles , ensuring optimal utilization and cost efficiency Drive key KPIs including delivery efficiency, on-time performance, and route optimization Ensure strict adherence to cold chain requirements and food safety standards Maintain full compliance with transport legislation, driver hours, and H&S requirements Use systems such as Microlise, SAP, and Excel to analyze data and improve performance Monitor telematics and operational data to identify trends and opportunities Build strong relationships across warehouse, operations, and customer service teams Handle escalations and ensure a high level of customer service and satisfaction Lead continuous improvement initiatives across the transport function
What We're Looking For:
Minimum 2+ years Class 2 truck driving experience Minimum 2+ years in a transport/driver management or leadership role Proven experience in FMCG / food & beverage distribution Strong understanding of cold chain logistics and food safety compliance Hoist experience or license (advantageous) Experience with Microlise, SAP, and strong Excel/data analysis capability Demonstrated ability to drive route optimization and operational efficiency Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and hold teams accountable Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Highly organized with strong problem-solving ability A hands-on, resilient team player who thrives in early-start, fast-paced environments Strong focus on customer service and delivery excellence Why Join Us?
