Traffic Control General Foreman

Vector is seeking an experienced Traffic Control General Foreman in Columbus, OH area who is looking for a long-term career, not just a job. This role involves leading traffic control crews, ensuring work zone compliance, and maintaining the highest safety standards.

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage up to 24 traffic control crews. Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce all safety protocols. Implement Traffic Control Plans (TCPs) that comply with DOT requirements. Ability to set up and maintain safe construction work zones. (This is not a normal daily task - but may be required in a pinch) Operate company vehicles and hand tools. Perform routine equipment inspections and maintenance. Maintain accurate daily logs and documentation. Communicate project status and issues clearly with the team. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. Travel regularly to job sites throughout the region.

Qualifications:

3 years of leadership experience in traffic control (TCS certification required). Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners. Excellent organizational and scheduling abilities to manage crews and resources efficiently. Solid technical acumen, including the ability to interpret traffic control plans and ensure compliance. Problem-solving mindset and ability to think independently. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Physically able to work in all weather conditions and stand for extended periods. Available for 100% travel, early mornings (starting as early as 6:00 AM), overtime, nights, and weekends as required.

Annual Rate:

$60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
