Job Description:
Responsible for regular and SPED transportation coordination, scheduling and routing for all transportation routes
Criteria:
A.
Education Level:
High School Diploma; One or two years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of experience and training. B.
Experience Desired:
One to two years in a related or comparable position. C.
Physical Requirements:
Constant hand-eye/mind-eye coordination, hearing, intermittent keyboarding, use of wrists, hands, fingers, speaking, typing, and writing. Frequent filing, sitting, standing, and walking. Verbal and written communication skills are also required. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds. D.
Other Requirements:
Applicant must demonstrate a high degree of responsibility, initiative, flexibility, and sound judgment, along with strong administrative and secretarial skills. The ability to adapt to changing priorities and situations is essential. The position requires the ability to maintain strict confidentiality, work efficiently, and collaborate effectively with staff and the public. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including professionalism and diplomacy when working with diverse individuals, are required. The successful candidate must be able to remain organized and function calmly under pressure. Proficiency in troubleshooting basic software issues and learning new computer applications is expected. Map-reading skills and familiarity with roads and streets in Yankton County are preferred.
