Get Fresh is supported by an amazing team of sales, customer service, procurement, and operations professionals. Get Fresh Produce executes distribution of more than 13 million cases annually to 3,000 customers. We base everything we do on 'Fresh Thinking'. This means constantly seeking to work more efficiently, creatively, and meticulously to meet our customers' needs. We work every day to drive consistency in the areas most important to our customers: Customer Service, Quality, Food, Safety, Reporting, Technology.
Essential Functions:
Daily dispatch of drivers and assigning all equipment needed for the day Route•Routes and Mapping of routes for effectiveness and route efficiencies, to ensure on time deliveries to customers Ability to review samsara cold chain and driver compliance management Directly supervise drivers, fleet, and all overnight transportation functions of support Communicate service issues to sales, customer service, and Operations teams Coordinates with Operations to ensure customer, and driver needs are met Participate in the hiring of
Drivers:
interviews, road tests, paperwork, and administrative tasks Participate in Safety investigations, review and reporting with root-cause analysis Conduct and hold monthly driver meetings on current performance with customer base Perform review of all driver payroll hours in Kronos system Comply with and review all SOP's HOS in accordance with DOT and FMCSA regulations Collaborate closely with vendors to schedule PM's Repairs, Rental Equipment for the Fleet Kronos system Review and perform audit of payroll record keeping time sheets and times in Kronos system Preparing driver schedules, approving time off requests, discipline, and attendance issues Coordinate with GF Indy CDC and shuttle driver arrivals and loading of routes for nightly dispatch Coordinate movement throughout the dock with
FreshEdge Sister Companies Competencies, Education, and Skills:
High school diploma or
GED CDL A
Required At least 2+ years of experience in transportation with at least 1 year of experience in a supervisory capacity Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Produce Pro ERP software a plus Knowledge of driver safety and DOT compliance requirements Transportation or Warehouse experience in the Food industry a plus Must be able to read, speak, and write English satisfactorily, bilingual a plus Strong relationship and interpersonal skills Innovative and creative thinking Change management and continuous improvement focus and skills Critical thinker with strong problem-solving and research proficiencies Strong organizational skills and detail oriented Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
Compensation:
$83,000•$87,000/
Year Work Schedule:
5 to 6•day work week 40 + Hours Sunday•Friday (Off on Saturday and one day during the week) Mandatory Holiday shifts and Sundays Start time of split shifts until work is completed This is an in-person position in
