Fleet Manager Essential Heating and Air Auburn, WA Job Details Full-time $50,000•$60,000 a year 3 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Qualifications Vendor relationship building Interpersonal skills Phone communication Tooling Expense management English High school diploma or GED Contracts Phone etiquette Property management Full Job Description Position Overview The Fleet Manager is responsible for overseeing and maintaining all fleet vehicles, equipment, and facility assets to ensure they are safe, compliant, reliable, and operating efficiently. This role manages preventive maintenance, repairs, asset tracking, vendor relationships, and facility upkeep to support daily business operations and minimize downtime. The Fleet Manager works closely with internal teams to ensure all fleet and facility resources remain in excellent working condition and meet company standards. Key Responsibilities Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives by negotiating vendor contracts, optimizing service agreements, and managing operational expenses. Manage software licenses, user access, integrations, and onboarding processes to maximize efficiency and control costs. Oversee company asset management, including assignment, tracking, inventory control, and lifecycle management of desktops, laptops, printers, tablets, mobile devices, and other technical equipment. Administer real estate lease agreements and ensure compliance with lease requirements. Manage the company fleet, including company-owned and leased vehicles, ensuring optimal utilization and operational readiness. Develop and monitor vehicle maintenance schedules, repair programs, and fleet budgets. Coordinate with fleet vendors and service providers to secure cost-effective services and maintain high vehicle availability. Oversee the procurement, sale, registration, titling, and recordkeeping of all company vehicles. Manage GPS systems and vehicle tracking platforms across the fleet. Maintain inventory and procurement of office furniture, equipment, and related supplies. Oversee facility maintenance, utility services, vendor contracts, repair schedules, and associated budgets to ensure safe and efficient operations. Maintain accurate records and reporting for fleet, facilities, assets, and vendor performance Minimum Qualifications High school diploma/GED required Associate degree preferred but not required Self-starter, reliable, flexibility with hours Strong customer service skills Present and communicate professionally (written and verbal) Excellent interpersonal communication skills on a professional and technical level Able to work both independently and as part of a team Must be a critical thinker•Strong English composition skills Telephone etiquette and working knowledge of email systems Ability to develop tools that create efficiencies within department
Physical Demands:
Climbing up and down stairs from time to time Moderate lifting may be required (15-20) pounds Ability to work more than 40 hours per work week and up to 12 hours per day
Working Environment:
