TRANSPORTATION COORDINATOR -- MAILROOM -- MEMORIAL HOSPITAL

68453) Job Summary Responsible for coordinating all supply chain delivery activities and personnel. This role will ensure all shipments into and out of the organization are handled quickly, safely, and within budget constraints. Will work closely with the Material Handling Center and with Linen Services on shipment coordination for all linen and material deliveries to CAMC and other contracted locations. Responsible for tracking all preventive maintenance, licensing and registration for all fleet vehicles, as well as implementing and managing fleet management software. Responsibilities- Must possess and maintain a West Virginia driver's license with a clean driving record
- Assist developing and implement policies and procedures for supply chain transportation operations
- Coordinate transportation personnel as well as equipment
- Oversee shipment coordination and routing within Material Handling Center and in conjunction with Linen Services
- Ensure that customer problems are researched and resolved
- Responsible for staying current with various regulations including those related to hazardous shipments, employee safety, and freight classifications
- Coordinate the maintenance, repair, and replacement of shipping equipment or vehicles
- Monitor operations to ensure that staff members comply with administrative policies and procedures, safety rules and government regulations
- Assist in developing and maintaining the vehicle fleet data base in tracking software (Geotab)
- Conduct investigations to determine causes of transportation accidents and to improve safety procedures
- Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships throughout the system
- Register, license, and title fleet vehicles.
