Job Description

T eam Gilbert has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to fill the position of Fleet Superintendent . With every job we fill, our focus is on providing best-in-class service to our citizens while offering the opportunity for professional growth in a rewarding and innovative work environment. The Fleet Superintendent reports to the Fleet Manager . The primary job duties of this position include: Supervise and coordinate all activities for the Fleet Supervisors , including hiring, training and development, mentoring, scheduling, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and technical assistance. Participate in the division's strategic planning process and play a major role in other large-scale financial, operational , and administrative issues.

Establish a collaborative system that fosters cross-functional cooperation among multiple fleet sites and focuses on implementing programs to address identified needs and timelines. Research, recommend, implement , and evaluate goals, pilots, projects, and programs. Evaluate department operations to determine the efficiency and effectiveness of services/ programs.

In addition to possessing the ability to live out our core and functional values daily, candidates must possess the following requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Fleet Management, Business, or related field; and 3 Years of experience in Public Works management as a supervisor or manager in a fleet operations environment; and 5 Years of experience in Fleet maintenance; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work. Licensing/Certifications Valid Arizona Driver's License. ASEs are highly desirable. This position is an At-Will position and is FLSA Exempt - ineligible for overtime compensation. This position has been designated as a Light work position that spends the majority of its workday in an office environment.
