This is not a position for someone who has only supervised from the ground — we need someone with extensive hands-on scaffolding experience who can build, troubleshoot difficult access situations, catch problems before they happen, and teach less-experienced employees to do the work correctly and safely. The right person can look at a project, understand what needs to happen, organize the crew and materials, and then get in there and help build it. Pay & Benefits $30-$40/hour, based on experience Health, dental, vision, and life insurance Compensation reflects your level of scaffold experience, ability to run crews, technical knowledge, and ability to independently manage difficult projects. What You'll Do Lead and supervise scaffold crews in the field, building, modifying, and dismantling scaffolding alongside them Review job requirements and determine the safest, most efficient build approach Measure and plan scaffold layouts before construction begins, and make sure the right materials and equipment are on hand Identify access issues, obstructions, tie-off requirements, ladder access, and other field conditions Assign responsibilities and keep the crew productive throughout the day Inspect completed scaffolds for safety, quality, and compliance Coach and train less-experienced scaffold builders Communicate with project managers, customers, and Edge leadership when job conditions change Solve problems in the field without unnecessarily slowing the project down Maintain a professional job site and represent Edge well with customers Hold the crew accountable for safety, quality, productivity, and cleanup What We're Looking For Extensive scaffolding experience is required. Significant hands-on experience building commercial and/or industrial scaffolding Experience leading or supervising scaffold crews Ability to personally build scaffolding at a high level Strong understanding of scaffold components, layouts, access points, ladder bays, ties, bracing, and job-site safety Ability to read a job site, take accurate measurements, and determine materials needed Experience with complex or difficult scaffold builds Ability to identify unsafe or improperly constructed scaffolding Ability to lead experienced employees and earn the respect of the crew Strong communication and problem-solving skills Willingness to teach and develop less-experienced employees Ability to work at heights and perform the physical demands of scaffold construction Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Commitment to working safely at all times This is not an entry-level position — we're looking for someone who already knows the industry and can step onto a job site with credibility.
