Pay range:

$35,000•38,000 based on experience! Job Responsibilities The assistant operations manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of a local/interstate moving company with 20+ fleet vehicles and 40+ employees.

This is accomplished primarily through:

hiring, training, and motivating employees; controlling costs; managing daily logistics; and consistently exceeding customer expectations. Determine staffing requirements and facilitate the hiring process; coordinate employee scheduling, truck assignments, and dispatch of move crew Coordinate and direct fleet maintenance and equipment inventory Lead mover/driver training; responsible for team development and motivation Promote safety and uphold safety procedures and policies; ensure compliance with all Department Of Transportation regulations and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration guidelines Serve as the "on-call" contact outside of normal business hours Complete performance audits during moves to ensure safety and customer satisfaction; oversee damage resolution process Experience in the fields of general labor, non-CDL transportation, landscaping, construction, production, manufacturing, assembly, factory or warehouse helpful Job Requirements High school diploma or GED required, some college preferred Driver's license with good driving record Highly organized and detail oriented; ability to multi-task Strong decision making and problem-solving skills Effective communication skills Commitment to customer service and the
