THIS IS AN AT-WILL POSITION.
Use the Job ID based on the Position Location as follows Location Job ID Palm Beach International (PBI) Airport, Building 846, WPB 34865 Performs specialized technical work overseeing airport-related special projects and coordinating zoning reviews for airport construction plans. Works independently and collaborates with tenants, outside contractors, County departments, and Airport divisions to facilitate the planning, coordination, and implementation of projects. Reviews zoning and building permit applications within established airport zones, compiles and organizes data from internal and external sources for use in Geographic Information System (GIS), and conducts field inspections to verify existing site conditions. This position applies technical knowledge and professional discretion to support airport development and regulatory compliance. Work is performed under the general supervision of a higher-level administrator and is evaluated through conferences, reports, and the quality of results achieved.
QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires qualified applicants to possess one of the following: Two (2) years of college-level coursework in Civil Engineering, Construction, Drafting, or closely related field; minimum of five (5) years of experience in the design and review of construction plans, which includes one (1) year of experience with AutoCAD, OR Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of seven (7) years of experience in the design and review of construction plans, which includes one (1) year of experience with Auto
CAD. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred qualifications include: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, Drafting, GIS, or closely related field, Two (2) or more years of experience using AutoCAD or Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI) Software, Experience in airport planning or urban planning, and Experience using Microsoft Office.
