Job Description
Schedule Monday-Friday:
6:45 AM - 4:45 PM Includes a 1‑hour lunch breakSaturdays:
6:45 AM - 12:00 PM ( as needed ) Key ResponsibilitiesScale Operations Operate truck scales to weigh incoming and outgoing scrap metal loads Record material types, weights, and customer information in the company system Verify, classify, and process materials according to company standards Issue tickets and receipts for all transactions Communicate clearly with customers, drivers, and yard personnel Maintain organized, accurate records for compliance and reporting Monitor traffic flow to maintain a safe and efficient scale area Support general office and administrative duties as needed Adhere to all safety and environmental guidelines Tow Dispatching Dispatch tow trucks to customer locations and internal yards Coordinate pickup and delivery schedules with tow drivers Track and update tow assignments using dispatch logs or software Serve as the communication hub between customers, drivers, and management for tow requests Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Experience in recycling, logistics, dispatching, or industrial operations preferred Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation Basic computer proficiency (data entry, ticketing platforms, dispatch software) Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment Strong commitment to safety and teamwork Physical & Work Environment Requirements Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs Why Join Lakeside Auto Recyclers?
