We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Depot Gate Clerk Supervisor to join our dynamic team. This position plays a vital role in overseeing the daily operations of our terminal, ensuring the efficient coordination of trucks and containers while maintaining safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have supervisory experience, strong leadership skills, and a background in logistics or intermodal operations. Depot Gate Clerk Supervisor Pay Range - $27.00 to $30.00 hourly

Growth Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate the activities of Depot Gate Inspectors, ensuring compliance with established safety and quality management procedures. Perform inspections of chassis entering or leaving the yard gate using a hand-held device. Mark and input issues found during inspections. Conduct weekly yard inventory checks and ensure accurate reporting. Direct drivers to chassis lots and oversee their movements. Operate yard hostler and forklift as needed. Train and mentor new employees, promoting a culture of safety and excellence. Handle other duties as assigned by management. Requirements Strong leadership and supervisory skills. Excellent customer service orientation. Proficiency in computer systems and attention to detail. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions year-round. Valid driver's license. High school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a gate clerk or in a supervisory role within the intermodal rail or logistics industry is highly preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proven accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping. Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. Basic knowledge of transportation and logistics operations. Familiarity with relevant safety and security regulations. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.
