Transportation Supervisor (Night Shift)
Location:
Whitestown, IN Join Our Team! We're looking for a hands-on Transportation Supervisor to lead our night shift transportation team supporting food distribution deliveries to restaurants. Oversee daily transportation operations, driver performance, safety, and fleet utilization. Ensure DOT compliance, driver qualification, and safety program requirements. Investigate accidents and incidents and implement corrective actions. Partner with Dispatch, Warehouse, Sales, and Customer Service to ensure outstanding service. Assist with hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance management. Verify driver hours, manage time off requests, and maintain operational coverage. Step in to run a delivery route when needed during emergency or backup situations. Help drive continuous improvement in transportation operations and customer satisfaction. Qualifications 2+ years of transportation experience with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role. Knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation safety compliance. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and transportation software. CDL Class A license preferred or willingness to obtain after hire. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., travel occasionally, and work in refrigerated warehouse environments when needed. $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
