Job Overview Commercial Painter / Lead Painter Wildcat Painting Inc. - Wichita, KS Area Wildcat Painting Inc. is looking for an experienced commercial painter (or lead painter) to join our growing team. We specialize in commercial and industrial coatings, including municipal and large-scale projects. We are looking for someone reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or lead a crew when needed. Duties Lead and supervise painting crews on commercial construction sites, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency standards are maintained throughout each project phase Coordinate daily work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor progress to meet project deadlines Conduct site inspections to verify adherence to blueprints, schematics, and project specifications Collaborate with project managers and clients to review project scopes, timelines, and budgets using construction management software like ProCore or Primavera P6 Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and enforce safety protocols across all team members Manage material procurement, inventory control, and ensure proper use of tools such as ohmmeters for electrical checks when necessary Oversee quality control processes by inspecting work for consistency and durability before project completion Read blueprints and schematics accurately to guide crew work and troubleshoot issues effectively Maintain detailed documentation of project progress, safety reports, and change orders including contracts and construction estimates Experience 2+ years of commercial or industrial painting experience Experience with sprayers and coatings preferred Reliable transportation Ability to work outdoors in various conditions Strong work ethic and attention to detail Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work at heights when needed We're looking for dependable painters who show up, work hard, and care about the finished product.
