Position Summary The Transportation Movements Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Arrival/Departure Airfield Control Group (A/DACG) and Surface and Air Deployment Node Support on Fort Campbell and Army Regulation (AR) 5-9 Area of Responsibility. Must have at least five (5) years of documented supervisory experience in A/DACG and Surface and Air Deployment Node Support. Must have a comprehensive knowledge of governing regulations, and policies, as well as Airfield Operations. Must have a comprehensive knowledge of all installed product software at the use/operator level and automated data processing policies and procedures as they pertain to assigned equipment, both Standard Army Information Management System (STAMIS) and installation desktop computers which will allow the contractor to solve and/or contact appropriate technical support to resolve any problem associated with these systems. Must have the ability to provide information and reports, resolve issues and recommend actions to improve delivery of services to the customers. Must have skills in verbal and written communications to conduct meetings, execute plans, and prepare reports, plans, and working instructions and must be HAZMAT-certified. The Transportation Movements Supervisor will have access to Secret Internet Protocol NETwork (SIPR) and systems which identify deployment information such as dates, units, equipment, and locations. The Transportation Movements Supervisor will also be required to attend/participate in classified briefings. SECRET Clearance required. Essential Functions
- Maintain a safe working environment by monitoring safety procedures and equipment.
- Review work throughout the work process and at completion to ensure that it has been performed properly.
- Inform designated employees or departments of items loaded or problems encountered.
- Examine freight to determine loading sequences.
- Collaborate with workers and managers to solve work-related problems.
- Check specifications of materials loaded or unloaded against information contained in work orders.
- Plan work schedules and assign duties to maintain adequate staff for effective performance of activities and response to fluctuating workloads.
- Transmit and explain work orders to laborers.
- Prepare and maintain work records and reports of information such as employee time and wages, daily receipts, or inspection results.
- Inspect equipment for wear and for conformance to specifications.
- Estimate material, time, and staffing requirements, based on work orders, job specifications, and experience.
- Conduct staff meetings to relay general information or to address specific topics, such as safety.
- Evaluate employee performance and prepare performance appraisals.
- Assess the training needs of staff and arrange for or provide appropriate instruction.
- Resolve personnel problems, complaints, or formal grievances, or refer them to higher- level supervisors for resolution.
- Recommend or initiate personnel actions, such as promotions, transfers, or disciplinary measures.
- Participate in the hiring process, review credentials, conduct interviews, and make hiring decisions.
- Inspect job sites to determine the extent of maintenance or repairs needed.
- Perform the same work duties as those supervised, perform more difficult skilled tasks or assist in their performance.
- Inventory supplies and requisition or purchase additional items, as necessary.
- Counsel employees in work-related activities, personal growth, or career development.
- Schedule times of shipment and modes of transportation for materials. Minimum Requirements
- Must have at least 5 years of documented supervisory experience in A/DACG and Surface and Air Deployment Node Support.
- Must have a comprehensive knowledge of governing regulations, and policies, as well as Airfield Operations.
- Must possess the appropriate verbal and written communications skills to conduct meetings, execute plans, prepare reports, plans, and working instructions.

Desirable:
Bachelor's degree in management or other related discipline from a recognized and accredited institution.
