Job Description

Youth on the Move Inc. is a transportation service specializing in the transport of children, groups, and social service organizations. We serve a diverse community and have vehicles that can accommodate travelers no matter what their needs are. As a growing and thriving business in the Springfield area, we have been featured in articles throughout New England. The Lot Supervisor position is based at our local office. We are looking for an individual or individuals that are reliable, trustworthy, and have open availability. We are looking for employees with strong communication skills and an even stronger work ethic that want to grow with an established company.
Responsibilities:
  • 30-40 hours/ weekly, as early as 4:00a start, potential weekends and holidays as assigned.
Lastly, making sure all vehicles are ready for lot departure with all equipment needed for the start of the day. Vehicle care to include but not limited to: interior cleanliness, exterior inspections for debris, hazards, and routine maintenance. Can safely drive, park, and refuel fleet cars. Obey all traffic laws and signs i.e. speeding, texting and driving, parking, construction zones, tailgating, driving under the influence, seatbelt laws, etc…
  • Clear and direct communication with Youth on the Movement staff and clients.
Provide unparallel customer service by addressing concerns, questions and special request to clients and demonstrate your ability to critically think and resolve issues when they arise. Leadership mentality, step-up to backfill when employees do not show up for their assigned shifts or need assistance with their other assigned duties. Office manager may assign other duties to assist with daily business operations. Uphold company policies and procedures while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
Qualifications:
Valid driver's license and transportation driving experience minimum 3-years 1-year supervisory experience in customer service or transportation field. Microsoft experience in word and excel. Experience a plus with wheelchair accessible vehicles, will train. Previous experience in hospitality or guest services is preferred Ability to pass a background check and drug screen to include marijuana. Bilingual applicant (English and Spanish) preferred. Must be comfortable working with the public Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse guests.
