We are seeking a Fleet & Safety Assistant who supports and promotes CCI Systems, Inc. s safety culture, by contributing to the continuous improvement of driver and employee safety, as well as overall performance quality, while ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements. This role is responsible for coordinating fleet maintenance and repair operations, including the maintenance, repair, and subrogation of company vehicles and related equipment. Responsibilities Manage and maintain accurate record keeping of all fleet vehicles, trailers, and equipment (VTE) for maintenance, registration, and repairs. Manage electronic logging devices (ELD), GPS platform in accordance with all government regulations and company policies. Issue, track, and follow up on purchase orders for maintenance and repair work. Coordinate with drivers to help them find repair shops, towing, and other related items needed for company VTE such as fuel pins, fuel cards, etc. Review fleet and safety invoices for accuracy and approve payment. Identify and provide recommendations for improving safety in the workplace. Function as a liaison between management and external agencies such as insurance personnel, claim managers, etc. Learn and understand current corporate practices, procedures, and policies. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Maintain confidentiality with critical and sensitive information. Perform other related duties assigned by management. Qualifications 1-2 years of prior experience in a similar role. Understanding of Insurance coverages, liability, and claims process. Knowledge of ANSI, HSE, OSHA, DOT, and FMCSA regulations. Basic understanding of budgets. Basic negotiation skills. Effective use of written and verbal tools to clearly deliver messages, gain understanding, and connect with target audience. Ability to engage and present information to management, employees, and vendors. Proficient with Microsoft Office and various web-based software. Possess strong organizational skills, capable of performing effectively in high-pressure settings, and consistently delivering accurate work within tight deadlines. Ability to establish and maintain a positive and professional working relationship with all individuals. Ability to take initiative and oversee various tasks simultaneously while working efficiently, effectively, and independently under minimal supervision. Openness to acquiring new knowledge, adjusting to change, and embracing additional responsibilities. The ability to embrace corporate values, understand the company's vision, and exemplify CCI leadership behaviors Shift is Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. CST but must be able to work outside normal business hours when required. Additional Information Ability to work in a hybrid environment, 1-2 days in-office or/as needed per week with remainder remote.
