Job Description

As a site crew leader you would act as the go-to person and oversee a crew of 5 or less Land Clearing company heavy equipment operators and laborers. You would be responsible for maintaining the fleet of equipment and keeping jobsites in order. Ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects, crew members and equipment is required. You would give daily project updates and communicate regularly with the owner, as well as direct the crew to ensure projects are completed correctly, safely and in a timely manner. Including but not limited to the following skills and requirements: Experience with heavy equipment such as Bulldozer, Excavator and other machines to perform land clearing work. Tree removal, stump removal, and root raking area within project boundaries/flags, in any weather conditions and terrains to ensure the job is to customer satisfaction. Ability to prove experience operating and maintaining equipment as well as ability to load dump trailers, sort debris, and operate chainsaw will result in higher competitive pay.
MUST HAVE LAND CLEARING/TREE WORK/LOGGING EXPERIENCE TO APPLY.
Knowledge or ability to learn how to grade, cut, process timber Direct crew or perform regular maintenance on heavy equipment such as daily preventative maintenance, cleaning, fueling and adding necessary fluids or lubricants to machines Pick up parts, supplies or materials needed for various equipment or jobsites Travel to multiple jobsites if applicable Assist employees with time tracking and scheduling Follow safety regulations and adherence to all guidelines while operating heavy equipment. This includes appropriate PPE and following site-specific safety protocols as defined by mandatory company led safety meetings Perform or direct crew to do minor repair work as needed Maintain a clean and safe work environment by inspecting jobsite and work equipment before and after each use, and clear communication to supervisor regarding project updates, daily Report any equipment issues or safety concerns to direct supervisor Crew leader or foreman experience is a plus. Ability to read and interpret construction plans, OSHA certified, First Aid certified, Bilingual and/or adequate experience operating machines and chainsaw are considerable factors and may offer higher pay rate Must be authorized to work in the United States. Valid Drivers License and reliable transportation to various project locations is required.
