As a key link between the distribution center and a beverage's final stop, this role combines strong leadership, logistical expertise, and a commitment to safety while supporting drivers in a fast-paced distribution environment. Duties and responsibilities Direct and supervise the work and productivity of drivers Ensure all drivers are appropriately trained in job duties and safety & legal responsibilities Anticipate, analyze, and troubleshoot challenges with deliveries, preparing cost-effective and legal solutions Schedule drivers appropriately according to division devised methodology Foster an atmosphere of communication, motivating associates to achieve goals and objectives Maintain accurate records for all drivers Assist in investigation of all accidents; maintain incident records and take appropriate preventative action Organize and load product for delivery, ensuring efficient delivery routes and schedules Run delivery routes in the absence of coverage to ensure that all deliveries are made Maintain appropriate delivery records and documents Complete additional duties as assigned Qualifications
REQUIRED
Must be 18 years of age or older High School Diploma or GED 3 years transportation or delivery experience Must be able to interpret and implement all necessary State and Federal transportation laws and regulations Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record Excellent customer service skills Outstanding verbal & written communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and within time constraints with minimal errors Must be a team player and work well under minimal supervision Knowledge of safe work practices Ability to operate various tools or warehouse equipment as necessary

years of transportation or fleet supervisor experience Previous food service or beverage distribution experience Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Working conditions The employee will perform work in the following environments: Warehouse dock Customer locations and on route when filling in for drivers The noise level in these areas is normally moderate. Employees must be able to work in changing weather conditions and maintain a professional and courteous demeanor in all environments. Physical requirements Must be able to safely lift up to 20 lbs. continually (15+ loads per hour) Must be able to safely lift up to 30 lbs. frequently (10-15 loads per hour) Must be able to safely lift between 50 and 175 lbs. occasionally (1-10 loads per hour) Must be able to bend, twist, kneel, squat, reach, and stretch frequently (3-5 hours per day) Must be able to climb, drive, sit, and use repetitive hand and foot fine motor skills occasionally (1-4 hours per day) Why Join Tryon?
